turks (the upper room kids)

Our Sunday morning children’s program caters for children aged from 1 to 14. Activities are coordinated and run by the parents of our community.

The children join in worship with the adults before heading off to do their own thing. Most weeks the kids’ program starts with a light morning tea and a time of chatting together and catching up on all the week’s happenings. This is followed by a short lesson and/or activity and a period of free time where they can watch a DVD or just hang out together while their parents are having tea and coffee.

On the last Sunday of each month, we take the kids to a nearby playground for morning tea and a time of general play together.

Overall, our desire is for our kids to feel very much part of our church community and to discover and experience the reality of God in their childhood.

the roomies

The Roomies are a group of 14- to 18-year-olds who get together from time to time for a variety of activities including movie nights, baking sessions, discussion groups and whatever else takes their fancy. For more information email roomies@theupperroom.org.au
