Common Room

Welcome to the Common Room, an online interactive space for the Upper Room church community.

Here you’ll be able to stay in touch with things that are happening in and around our community and engage with other people in a variety of ways. You can use this ‘room’ as a place to post interesting pieces of news and information, form groups and initiate projects and events. You can also post requests for prayer or notices to do with things like employment, accommodation or stuff you want to buy or sell. Or you might want to just start an online conversation about some topic of interest.

It’s highly recommended that you join the ‘Community‘ group. This is the ‘all in’ group where we can post anything we want everyone to know about. There’s also a ‘Prayer‘ group for posting prayer requests. We also suggest you join the ‘Tech Support’ group so that you can ask questions if you run into any problems here or need help figuring out how to use the site.

There are a few ‘room rules’ that need to be observed to ensure that this site remains a secure place for people to interact, so please make sure you are familiar with these. They can be found by clicking ‘The Guide’ tab at the top of the screen.

Finally, it’s recommended that for each of the groups you join, you set your email status to ‘All email‘. That will ensure you are notified whenever anything is posted to that group.
